This detached garage is among the more unique designs we have produced. It was designed to complement the construction of a new stone farmhouse we designed and helped to construct, creating a modern residence shaped and strongly influenced by the design of the traditional Ontario stone farmhouse.
The companion garage was designed to echo and complement the main house. Like the residence it supports, it features extensive stone construction, with two-foot-thick walls assembled from hand-selected pieces quarried in Quebec and Northern Ontario.
Every aspect of the garage construction was carefully designed and specified, from the masoned crown moulding of the chimney cap to the dentils on the frieze boards and the copper flashing in the roofline.
The rear of the structure features board-and-batten siding, providing access to two additional garage bays on a lower level, as well as an integrated garden shed and greenhouse structure.
